Combine the Japanese art of paper-folding and the modern science of light-emitting diodes (LEDs). Light-up origami is your chance to showcase your artistic and scientific skills in one beautiful work of art! For ages 6 - 12 and their families.

This program takes place in the Children's Area. Attendance is limited and advance registration is required. Please register every individual in your party. This will be used to save your seats in the program. Availability cannot be guaranteed for any unregistered guests.

About the branch

Proudly serving the residents of the vibrant City of Huntington Park and neighboring areas, the Huntington Park Library was founded in 1913 and originally housed in the City Hall.

As the library continued to grow, it moved to larger locations in 1924 and 1931. The present library building in the Civic Center was dedicated in 1970.

A significant sculpture designed by artist Tom Van Sant, "Flight Form," was also dedicated in 1970 and is suspended from the second floor ceiling.

An active Friends of the Library group was formed in 1996 to promote and support Library services to the community.
