Join us to learn about César Chávez's legacy as a civil rights advocate and farm labor leader who championed nonviolent social change and environmental rights.

Afterwards, join us for a button-making activity that celebrates the legacy of César Chávez. Materials will be provided.

About the branch

The library was established in February of 1969 in honor of Congressman Chet Holifield, 19th District (served 1943-1974). The library primarily serves the residents of south Montebello. In January 2011, the library reopened after a year-long refurbishment project.
