Join us at the library to celebrate the upcoming solar eclipse by creating an origami rocket and learning all about eclipses.  Attendees will receive a pair of eclipse glasses while supplies last. For ages 5 - 12

A total solar eclipse happens when the moon passes between the sun and earth at such an angle that the moon completely covers the sun and blocks out its light.

On April 8, 2024, Claremont will see a partial solar eclipse from 10:06 am – 12:22 pm.

About the branch

Claremont Library was founded in 1914. It has been at its current location since 1928. The present building opened on April 25, 1975. The Friends of the Claremont Public Library was founded in 1957.
