In celebration of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, play a variety of games and learn how they used to be played. For ages 5 - 12 and their caregivers.

What do Chinese Checkers, playing cards, and yo-yos have in common? They all originated during various dynasties from Ancient China. Learn how a variety of games used to be played and make your own kite--an invention from about 3,000 years ago.

About the branch

The library was established in February of 1969 in honor of Congressman Chet Holifield, 19th District (served 1943-1974). The library primarily serves the residents of south Montebello. In January 2011, the library reopened after a year-long refurbishment project.
