Are you a teen interested in making a difference in your library and community? Join the Teen Advisory Board! You will have the opportunity to voice your opinion and provide suggestions for new programs and services. For ages 12-18.

This is a great opportunity to work with other teens that share your interests in the library and help the community. You can even earn community service hours while you have fun. New participants are always welcome—bring a friend!

This event is held in the Homework Center Area on the first floor.

About the branch

Proudly serving the residents of the vibrant City of Huntington Park and neighboring areas, the Huntington Park Library was founded in 1913 and originally housed in the City Hall.

As the library continued to grow, it moved to larger locations in 1924 and 1931. The present library building in the Civic Center was dedicated in 1970.

A significant sculpture designed by artist Tom Van Sant, "Flight Form," was also dedicated in 1970 and is suspended from the second floor ceiling.

An active Friends of the Library group was formed in 1996 to promote and support Library services to the community.
