Learn about cultures and faiths around the world through celebrations happening this spring. Explore the traditions of Bahá’í Naw-Rúz, Holi, Ramadan, and Eid-al-Fitr. Then create greeting cards to share with friends and family. For ages 8 - 12.

Attendance is limited, and advance registration is required. Please register every individual in your party, including kids. This will be used to save your spots in the program. We cannot guarantee availability for any unregistered attendees.

About the branch

In 1958, two branches (Moneta, opened in 1913 and Strawberry Park opened in 1919) merged into West Gardena Library. A fire in 1969 caused the branch to move into a new building.

The new building located at 14433 S. Crenshaw, was dedicated on February 26, 1977, in honor of Mr. Masao William Satow. Mr. Satow (1908-1976) was a Japanese-American of monumental distinction. He helped in the shaping of the lives of young adults in the community.
