Celebrate Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month and learn about taiko drums and their place in Japanese culture.

We are happy to introduce The Rhythm of Inspiration, an educational taiko program designed to inspire, educate and engage audiences of all ages with the rich cultural heritage of Japanese taiko drumming.

The Rhythm of Inspiration is suitable for all ages and music experience levels and is a great way to introduce audiences to Japanese music and culture.

About the branch

La Verne Library was originally established as the "Traveling Library" on October 1, 1914, when the Lordsburg Library Board of Trustees joined the Los Angeles County Library system. After numerous moves to ever larger facilities, the La Verne Library moved to its current location at 3640 D Street on July 29, 1985.

Eric Hernandez is a traditional Native American Hoop Dancer affiliated with the Lumbee Tribe. Taught Hoop Dancing by his uncle, champion Hoop Dancer Terry Goedel, at the age of 12, Eric has shared his Hoop Dance with over 1 million spectators.
