Join us to build a thaumatrope to create your own optical illusion! For kids ages 5 – 12 with a parent or guardian.

Learn about illusory motion and our persistence of vision by making a thaumatrope - an optical illusion toy that dates back to the Victorian era!

Attendance is limited, and advance registration is required. Please register every individual in your party, including kids. This will be used to save your spots in the program. We cannot guarantee availability for any unregistered attendees.

About the branch

The library was founded in 1913 and housed in the Woodcrest School. It moved to various locations in the community until the present location was opened in 1967.
