STEAM - Make Your Own Ice Cream

In-Person Program

Looking for a fun summer event? Join us at the library for a STEAM-centric program where we'll explore the science of ice cream! Learn about food chemistry, make your own ice cream in a bag, and enjoy your delicious creations.

We'll also dive into the history of ice cream. Don't miss this cool opportunity to learn and have fun! 

Attendance is limited, and advance registration is required. Please register every individual in your party, including kids. This will be used to save your spots in the program. We cannot guarantee availability for any unregistered attendees.

For ages 12 - 17

Parents and guardians: Please be aware that refreshments will be served at this program. A list of ingredients will be available.

About the branch

Bell Gardens Library first opened in August, 1938 at 5656 Live Oak St. As the City of Bell Gardens grew and expanded, so did the library.

On September 22, 1958 the library moved to 7515 Eastern Ave. (a store front location).

The library moved to its current location, 7110 S. Garfield Avenue, on May 7th, 1970. On July 21, 2007 the library had a Grand Re-Opening ceremony to celebrate a 6-month major refurbishment project.
