Celebrate by making art and sharing your citizenship journey or simply what it means to be a US Citizen! For Adults

Each year on September 17, Americans celebrate Constitution & Citizenship Day. Join the celebration and share your story while making a patriotic wooden coaster to commemorate this day! All materials will be provided. 

Attendance is limited, and advance registration is required. To sign up, see library staff, or register online at Visit.LACountyLibrary.org/Events and filter by location or event date.

About the branch

Proudly serving the residents of the vibrant City of Huntington Park and neighboring areas, the Huntington Park Library was founded in 1913 and originally housed in the City Hall.

As the library continued to grow, it moved to larger locations in 1924 and 1931. The present library building in the Civic Center was dedicated in 1970.

A significant sculpture designed by artist Tom Van Sant, "Flight Form," was also dedicated in 1970 and is suspended from the second floor ceiling.

An active Friends of the Library group was formed in 1996 to promote and support Library services to the community.
