The National Weather Service has issued an extreme heat warning for parts of LA County from Tuesday, August 24 through Friday, August 28, 2026. LA County Library has activated 23 Cooling Centers. View hours and locations.
Try your hand at printmaking with an introduction to dry-point etching and learn a bit about this centuries-old art form. We’ll carve images onto acrylic plates, then use them to create prints in various colors from a single design. For ages 13 – 17.
This program is part of LA County Library’s My Brother’s Keeper mentoring program and features an MBK Peer Advocate as a co-host and youth mentor. This program is funded in part by the Uchenna Nwosu Foundation.
Parents and guardians: Please be aware that refreshments will be served at this program. A list of ingredients will be available.
Established in 1938 as the Keystone Branch, the library merged with the Carson Branch in 1959. The present building was opened in 1972 and serves 19.24 square miles.
