Celebrate National Kimchi Day by making kimchi, the national dish of Korea! This program will be lead by Chef Yoon Hee Kim in partnership with the Korean Cultural Center, Los Angeles. Program is open to adults and families. 

This program is part of the La Mirada Celebrates! series. Cultural and holiday celebrations bind families, neighborhoods, and communities together. Fall includes important cultural holidays. Let's celebrate all season with food, art, dance, and song! This project was made possible with support from California Humanities, a non-profit partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities. About the branch

La Mirada Library was established in 1915 in a one-room schoolhouse that belonged to the Norwalk School District. It soon received supplemental service from the Los Angeles County Library.

From 1958 to 1971 the library was housed in a leased storefront in the La Mirada Business Center. The present library building was dedicated on July 1, 1971, in the La Mirada Civic Center.
