Join us to learn the basics of container gardening. You’ll learn to sow seeds and care for food crops in an urban environment. We’ll discuss the business of agriculture and how you can eat healthier when you grow your own. For ages 13 – 17.

This program is part of LA County Library’s My Brother’s Keeper mentoring program and features an MBK Peer Advocate as a co-host and youth mentor. This program is funded in part by the Uchenna Nwosu Foundation.

Attendance is limited and advance registration is required. To sign up, see library staff or Visit.LACountyLibrary.org/Events and filter by location or event date.

About the branch

Established in 1938 as the Keystone Branch, the library merged with the Carson Branch in 1959. The present building was opened in 1972 and serves 19.24 square miles.
