Music with Iwalani is a musical adventure in a fun loving safe and supportive environment. For families with children ages 4 and up. Children will be given a hands-on introduction to several musical concepts while they work on fundamentals

Children will be given a hands-on introduction to several musical concepts while they work on
fundamentals including beginning beat patterns, musical improvisation and developing listening skills with a group. Children will explore different ways to express creativity through their bodies with creative dance and movement. For families with children ages 4 and up.

About the branch

La Mirada Library was established in 1915 in a one-room schoolhouse that belonged to the Norwalk School District. It soon received supplemental service from the Los Angeles County Library.

From 1958 to 1971 the library was housed in a leased storefront in the La Mirada Business Center. The present library building was dedicated on July 1, 1971, in the La Mirada Civic Center.
