Children are invited to explore the world of jazz music through a hands-on art experience as we celebrate African American & Black History Month. For ages 5 -12 with parent or caregiver.

Combining the rich history of jazz with the expressive nature of process art, this program encourages children to learn about the genre while developing their own artistic style in a fun and interactive way.

Attendance is limited, and advance registration is required. Please register every individual in your party, including kids. This will be used to save your spots in the program. We cannot guarantee availability for any unregistered attendees.

About the branch

Topanga Library is closed due to the Palisades Fire. Updates and emergency resources are available on our website.

The Topanga Library opened on January 21, 2012. As Al Martinez stated in his inaugural speech, "This isn't just an impressive edifice of stone and steel. It's a house of knowledge and imagination, a trip to new worlds, a journey to the mystical land of tomorrow."

The state-of-the-art library is a LEED-certified green building with a Gold rating. It has a central reading room, a children's area with a dedicated storytelling space, study rooms, and a homework center.
