Teens come and make your own Huichol traditional yarn paintings. For ages 13-17.

Join us as we explore Huichol cultural art. The Huichol are an indigenous group living in the Sierra of Jalisco and Nayarit Mexico. They are well known for their artwork especially their Nierikas or yarn paintings. We create our own yarn painting in the Huichol style.

About the branch

The Chicano Resource Center (CRC) was established in 1976 to serve the information needs of the Mexican-American (Chicano) community and to make information about the history and culture of this group available to the general public. The Chicano Resource Center is located in East Los Angeles Library.
