The National Weather Service has issued an extreme heat warning for parts of LA County from Tuesday, August 24 through Friday, August 28, 2026. LA County Library has activated 23 Cooling Centers. View hours and locations.
Celebrate African American and Black History Month by writing a letter to a living legend you admire. Thank them for something they did that has personal meaning to you, ask them about their accomplishments, or even ask them for advice!
For children ages 5 – 12.
Attendance is limited, and advance registration is required. Please register every individual in your party, including kids. This will be used to save your spots in the program. We cannot guarantee availability for any unregistered attendees.

Claremont Library was founded in 1914. It has been at its current location since 1928. The present building opened on April 25, 1975. The Friends of the Claremont Public Library was founded in 1957.
