Dive into the vibrant world of watercolors with our hands-on workshop designed for teens! Perfect for beginners, this workshop will introduce you to the fundamental techniques of watercolor painting. While supplies last. For teens, ages 12 – 17.

Over the course of the program, you’ll explore the creative possibilities of this expressive medium, learning how to use color, texture, and light to bring your ideas to life on paper.

Our Teen Librarian will guide you through a variety of fun, engaging exercises to help you build confidence with watercolors. By the end of the workshop, you'll have your own beautiful artworks to take home, along with a solid foundation for continued exploration in this exciting medium.

About the branch

Friendly El Monte, the End of the Santa Fe Trail, was incorporated in 1912. The city was once home to Gay's Lion Farm during the 1930s and famous for the roaring lion on MGM's logo.

The El Monte Library was founded in 1890, and joined the Los Angeles County Public Library in 1913. It has been at its present location since 1967.
