Join us as we learn to create a paintbrush from yucca leaves and paint on watercolor paper with red ochre. This lesson will be presented by Lazaro Arvizu as he tells the story of foothill Yucca. Registration required.
This program is held in partnership with the County of Los Angeles Probation Department and is funded through
the Juvenile Justice Crime Prevention Act (JJCPA). It requires the collection of data on program participants.

Proudly serving the residents of the vibrant City of Huntington Park and neighboring areas, the Huntington Park Library was founded in 1913 and originally housed in the City Hall.
As the library continued to grow, it moved to larger locations in 1924 and 1931. The present library building in the Civic Center was dedicated in 1970.
A significant sculpture designed by artist Tom Van Sant, "Flight Form," was also dedicated in 1970 and is suspended from the second floor ceiling.
An active Friends of the Library group was formed in 1996 to promote and support Library services to the community.
