Have you ever wondered why biological siblings look so much alike? In this fun program, you will use an alien model to demonstrate how genes or physical traits are passed on from parents to their offspring. For teens and tweens, ages 10 - 18.

Attendance is limited, and advance registration is required. Please register every individual in your party, including kids. Those on the wait list will be allowed to participate should registered attendees not arrive by the start of the program.

About the branch

The Library founded in 1940 serves the View Park-Windsor Hills residents of the unincorporated area west of the City of Los Angeles north of the City of Inglewood and southeast of the City of Culver City.

Library service was provided through a leased facility of 2,300 square feet, located at 5400 S. Harcourt Avenue at 54th Street. The library moved to its present location in 1977 and offers a full range of library services.

In honor of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we will be making our own tapa cloth out of paper bags. Tapa is a traditional fabric made from the inner bark of tree in the Pacific Islands. For ages 5 - 12.
