To aid her, she hires the toughest U.S. marshal she can find, a man with "true grit," They are joined by Texas Ranger LaBoeuf, who wants Chaney for his own purposes. The unlikely trio find danger and surprises on the journey, and each has his or her "grit" tested. This film was nominated for 10 Oscars and won many awards, including best supporting actress.

About the branch

Established in 1938 as the Keystone Branch, the library merged with the Carson Branch in 1959. The present building was opened in 1972 and serves 19.24 square miles.
