Domestic violence, violence between intimate partners and its impact on children and adolescents will be discussed.

Department of Mental Health Promoters Workshops tackle a range of mental health topics to help Angelenos understand and manage their mental health. We are working to reduce stigma and empower individuals to seek help when needed and recognize problems before they become crises.

This workshop will focus on raising awareness of family violence and how to prevent it, as well as recovery and resilience. Domestic violence can occur with marriages or other intimate relationships.  This workshop will look at how to identify when violence occurring and the impact of domestic violence on children and adolescents. We will also provide information on ways to promote resiliency.

About the branch

Founded in 1915, West Covina Library has been located in the West Covina Civic Center since 1961. The first County library designed as a Regional Headquarters, it was remodeled in 1975. Today West Covina Library still serves as the East Regional County Library for the County of Los Angeles Public Library.
