Author and illustrator Susan Chavez discusses her children's book Littleshoes.

Join us as author and illustrator Susan Chavez discusses her book Littleshoes. This nonfiction children’s picture book tells the story of a little girl’s joy, determination, cousins, a man in a suit, vulnerability and how it all impacted her life. The book is a testament that anyone, at any age, can heal from the scary things that sometimes happen to us when we are children.

About the branch

The Chicano Resource Center (CRC) was established in 1976 to serve the information needs of the Mexican-American (Chicano) community and to make information about the history and culture of this group available to the general public. The Chicano Resource Center is located in East Los Angeles Library.
