About the branch

The library was founded in 1913 and moved to its present location in 1962. The facility was remodeled in 1978. The Friends of the Hawthorne Libraries started in 1979. The library serves a 5.99 square mile area.

Come and work with other teens to create a mixed-media masterpiece with TAG. TAG is a collaborative game in which players paint, draw, collage, and end up with original pieces of abstract art. For teens ages 12 - 18.

Visit Hawthorne Library to learn basic crochet techniques and start a project to take home. Yarn and hooks will be supplied! For ages 12 - 17.

The Super Science Super Show has interactive science demonstrations that entertain and educate! This is followed up by a hands-on museum walk-around where participants interact with safe and fun science experiments. For ages 5 - 12.
