The National Weather Service has issued an extreme heat warning from Tuesday, July 14 through Thursday, July 16. While all LA County Libraries offer a break from the heat during normal hours, many locations have been activated as Cooling Centers with extended hours.
Join us for a talk about the Golden State Mutual Art collection, the pieces that are on display at View Park Bebe Moore Campbell Library, and a chance to meet artist Charles Dickson. For all ages.
Join us to celebrate Arts Month! We are teaming up with LA County Department of Arts and Culture to bring you a talk about LA County's historic Golden State Mutual Art subcollection, its rescue by LA County, and the artworks that are on display at View Park Bebe Moore Campbell Library. Artist Charles Dickson, whose pieces are featured in the collection, will join us to talk about his practice and work, followed by a Q&A.
This is a perfect opportunity to get your Civic Art Passport stamp and learn about an important part of LA art history. All ages welcome.
Attendance is limited, and advance registration is recommended. Please register every individual in your party. This will be used to save your spots in the program. We cannot guarantee availability for any unregistered attendees. Those on the wait list will be allowed to participate should registered attendees not arrive by the start of the program.
