The National Weather Service has issued an extreme heat warning from Tuesday, July 14 through Thursday, July 16. While all LA County Libraries offer a break from the heat during normal hours, many locations have been activated as Cooling Centers with extended hours.
This spring, learn about the Cubist style of Pablo Picasso while creating your own self-portrait with playdough. For ages 6 - 12 with adult caregiver.
Picasso experimented with many different styles of painting during his long career as an artist. His work was a major influence on the development of modern art. Children can design their own colorful playdough self-portraits while learning about this artistic visionary. All supplies provided.

The first Westlake Village Daniel K. Ludwig Library was dedicated on March 27, 1993. The library operates under a joint agreement between the City of Westlake Village and the County of Los Angeles Public Library.
The library was named after Westlake Village developer and visionary, Daniel K. Ludwig. The library moved to a brand new and larger facility on February 5, 2002.
