About the branch

The first Westlake Village Daniel K. Ludwig Library was dedicated on March 27, 1993. The library operates under a joint agreement between the City of Westlake Village and the County of Los Angeles Public Library.

The library was named after Westlake Village developer and visionary, Daniel K. Ludwig. The library moved to a brand new and larger facility on February 5, 2002.

Azulejos are hand painted tiles produced in Spain and Portugal from about the 14th Century onward, inspired by Islamic art and architecture. We will create a set of tiles inspired by their geometric patterns and vibrant colors. For ages 13 - 17.

Join Wild Man Dan for an exciting, informative program that includes live specimens and explores the fascinating world of reptiles, arachnids, and other amazing animals! For ages 5 - 12.

Watch and learn from master physics demonstrator James Lincoln as he prepares you to see invisible light, trains you to hear ultrasonic sounds, and teaches you the physics of lasers, sound, electricity and magnetism. For ages 6 - 12.
