Join us for a hands-on experience led by artist and calligrapher Sherry Shih. In this workshop, you'll explore the beauty and artistry of Chinese calligraphy by creating your own Five Blessings Scroll. For adults.

Rooted in the phrase 五福臨門 (“Five Blessings Arrive at Your Door”), this scroll features five distinct styles of the character 福 (fú, meaning “blessing”)—from Oracle Bone Script and Seal Script to Clerical, Cursive, and Regular Script. As Sherry guides you through the unique forms and visual rhythm of each calligraphy style, you'll also uncover the deeper meanings behind the word 福, and how this cherished character has been used for centuries to pass on hope, happiness, health, virtue, and longevity.

Attendance is limited, and advance registration is required. Please register every individual in your party. This will be used to save your spots in the program. We cannot guarantee availability for any unregistered attendees.
