In commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, we celebrate the legacy of Sadako Sasaki and her thousand origami cranes. After learning about Sadako’s impact, you will create your own origami crane mobile.

All materials will be provided. For adults.

Attendance is limited, and advance registration is required. Please register every individual in your party. This will be used to save your spots in the program. We cannot guarantee availability for any unregistered attendees.

About the branch

The original library opened in a leased storefront building at 18419 S. Avalon Blvd on June 4, 1959. The present library was dedicated on June 2, 1973.
