Start the new school year strong with a relaxing, creative hour at the library! Kids will first discover some of the amazing free resources we offer to help with homework, reading, and learning success. For ages 5 - 12 with a parent or caregiver.

Then, they’ll get to unwind with calming, hands-on art—painting their own canvas and decorating a piggy bank to take home. It’s the perfect mix of inspiration, imagination, and back-to-school support!

About the branch

The Castaic Library opened in November, 2008 in a 6,985 square foot storefront facility. To meet the needs of a growing community, a renovated and expanded library opened in March, 2015. The new Castaic Library features a community meeting room, two group study rooms, an expansive Children's area and a dedicated Teen area. Prior to the opening of the Castaic Library, the area was served by the Santa Clarita Bookmobile.
