Eric Jerome Dickey last novel "The Son of Mr. Suleman,” follows Pi Suleman, a Black adjunct professor in Memphis, as he navigates racism, a potential blackmail situation, & a new romance with Gemma Buckingham. The story takes a turn when Pi's estranged, famous author father dies, & he must travel to Los Angeles to settle his affairs & confront his complicated legacy. The novel explores themes of identity, family, love, & the impact of racism and microaggressions. This is a virtual program offered via Zoom.
