Join us for family movie night at Lloyd Taber-Marina del Rey Library!

Daddy Day Care is a family comedy film starring Eddie Murphy as Charlie Hinton, a laid-off marketing executive who, along with his friend Phil (played by Jeff Garlin), finds himself out of work and struggling to care for his young son. With limited daycare options and mounting bills, Charlie and Phil decide to start their own daycare service from Charlie's home, naming it "Daddy Day Care."

The film is rated PG. The movie will start promptly at 4 pm. Please be aware that refreshments will be served. A list of ingredients will be available.

About the branch

The library was built by the Los Angeles County Department of Beaches and Harbors in 1976 to serve the Marina clientele. The William R. Pagen Nautical Wing and the Greg and Mimi Wenger Community Room were added in 1999 through the efforts of the Marina Foundation, the Board of Supervisors and the County of Los Angeles Public Library.

The Marina del Rey Library was renamed the Lloyd Taber-Marina del Rey Library by the Board of Supervisors in recognition of the main donor to the project. Since the Marina is a small craft harbor used for recreational purposes, the Lloyd Taber-Marina del Rey Library has developed a Nautical Collection to serve the informational needs and interests of small boaters.
