Bring the family to learn about contemporary Native American artists and their art styles in a fun environment. This week, participants will be taking inspiration from award winning Alaska illustrator and member of the Tlingit Nation, Michaela Goade.

Create stickers inspired by her work and make your own designs. All supplies provided. Event will be held in the Homework Center area.

About the branch

Proudly serving the residents of the vibrant City of Huntington Park and neighboring areas, the Huntington Park Library was founded in 1913 and originally housed in the City Hall.

As the library continued to grow, it moved to larger locations in 1924 and 1931. The present library building in the Civic Center was dedicated in 1970.

A significant sculpture designed by artist Tom Van Sant, "Flight Form," was also dedicated in 1970 and is suspended from the second floor ceiling.

An active Friends of the Library group was formed in 1996 to promote and support Library services to the community.
