Join us in a special story for the Lunar New Year with author, Oliver Chin! For children ages 6 - 12.

Author Oliver Chin will introduce and read his newest children's picture book The Year of the Horse (now revised, bilingual in simplified Chinese) adventure in the popular annual series Tales from the Chinese Zodiac. In a 15-minute Powerpoint presentation, he introduces the themes of the Lunar New Year and will read the story. 

Attendance is limited, and advance registration is required. Please register every individual in your party, including kids. This will be used to save your spots in the program. We cannot guarantee availability for any unregistered attendees.

About the branch

La Puente Library began its long career in a local schoolhouse in September 1913. It resided in a school, a bank, and the Puente Mercantile Building until 1930.

The library then moved to larger quarters several times over the next 38 years until it reached its present location in the La Puente Civic Center in November 1968.
