Let’s get ready for school! Enjoy books, songs, rhymes, and movement while learning school readiness skills and having fun. For ages 2 - 5 with their parent or caregiver.

This program is part of Smart Start at the Library, LA County Library's collection of programs and services for early learners ages 0 - 5 and their caregivers.

Attendance is limited, and advance registration is required. Please register every individual in your party, including kids. This will be used to save your spots in the program. We cannot guarantee availability for any unregistered attendees. 

Please join us after Storytime for Parent Cafés, an opportunity to chat with other caregivers and gather parenting tips from a Triple P Positive Parenting Program accredited librarian: April 2, May 7, June 18.

About the branch

The library was founded in 1913 and moved to its present location in 1962. The facility was remodeled in 1978. The Friends of the Hawthorne Libraries started in 1979. The library serves a 5.99 square mile area.
