Rhys Kinnick has gone off the grid. At Thanksgiving a few years back, a fed-up Rhys punched his conspiracy-theorist son-in-law in the mouth, chucked his smartphone out a car window and fled for a cabin in the woods, with no one around except a pack of hungry raccoons. Now Kinnick's old life is about to land right back on his crumbling doorstep.

About the branch

The Castaic Library opened in November, 2008 in a 6,985 square foot storefront facility. To meet the needs of a growing community, a renovated and expanded library opened in March, 2015. The new Castaic Library features a community meeting room, two group study rooms, an expansive Children's area and a dedicated Teen area. Prior to the opening of the Castaic Library, the area was served by the Santa Clarita Bookmobile.
