East West Players presents an original play based on the story of Tam Tran, an undocumented UCLA student, who testified in Congress for the DREAM Act. Please be aware this play contains themes/dialogue around racism and deportation. For ages 12 - 18.

East West Players Theater for Youth presents Tam Tran Goes to Washington, an original play by Elizabeth Wong and directed by Rona Par. 

Tam Tran, a quiet UCLA senior who prefers life behind her camera, faces her biggest challenge yet. As an undocumented student, she unexpectedly becomes an activist alongside her outgoing best friend, Cinthya Felix. When Congress invites Tam to testify for the DREAM Act in Washington, DC, her world turns upside down.
Please be aware this play contains themes and dialogue around racism and deportation.

About the branch

Founded in 1915, West Covina Library has been located in the West Covina Civic Center since 1961. The first County library designed as a Regional Headquarters, it was remodeled in 1975. Today West Covina Library still serves as the East Regional County Library for the County of Los Angeles Public Library.
