Join us to discuss George Takei's graphic novel, They Called Us Enemy, exploring how visual storytelling conveys depth. We'll talk about Mr. Takei's prison camp experience and create prints about our personal experiences. For teens ages 12 - 18.

This program is funded by the County of Los Angeles Probation Department through the Juvenile Justice Crime Prevention Act (JJCPA). The JJCPA and Probation Department require collecting data on program participants, including full name, date of birth, ethnicity, gender, zip code, and signature. Guardian consent is also required to participate.

About the branch

The Castaic Library opened in November, 2008 in a 6,985 square foot storefront facility. To meet the needs of a growing community, a renovated and expanded library opened in March, 2015. The new Castaic Library features a community meeting room, two group study rooms, an expansive Children's area and a dedicated Teen area. Prior to the opening of the Castaic Library, the area was served by the Santa Clarita Bookmobile.
