East West Players presents an original play based on the story of Tam Tran, an undocumented UCLA student, who testified in Congress for the DREAM Act. Please be aware this play contains themes/dialogue around racism and deportation. For ages 12 - 18.

East West Players Theater for Youth presents Tam Tran Goes to Washington, an original play by Elizabeth Wong and directed by Rona Par. 

Tam Tran, a quiet UCLA senior who prefers life behind her camera, faces her biggest challenge yet. As an undocumented student, she unexpectedly becomes an activist alongside her outgoing best friend, Cinthya Felix. When Congress invites Tam to testify for the DREAM Act in Washington, DC, her world turns upside down.
Please be aware this play contains themes and dialogue around racism and deportation.

Theatre for Youth is supported in part by Dwight Stuart Youth Fund, L.L. Foundation for Youth, Cathay Bank Foundation, Green Foundation, The Sun Family Foundation, The Tsao Family Foundation, and the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors through the Department of Arts and Culture. Grant, funded by the Mark Edelman Theater Fund and administered by Theatre Communications Group, the national organization for theatre leading for a just and thriving theatre ecology.

About the branch

Baldwin Park Library was founded on February 27, 1914. It has been at its present location since June 20, 1969.

The Friends of the Library was formed in 1982. This group continues to be active and gives the library volunteers and monetary support.
