Join us as we celebrate Día de Los Niños as we read the book Isabel and Her Colores Go to School by Alexandra Alessandri. For children ages 6 -12 with a parent or caregiver.

After we read, participants will be able to use their creativity to create and paint a colorful picture. 

Attendance is limited, and advance registration is required. Please register every individual in your party, including kids. This will be used to save your spots in the program. We cannot guarantee availability for any unregistered attendees.

About the branch

Bell Gardens Library first opened in August, 1938 at 5656 Live Oak St. As the City of Bell Gardens grew and expanded, so did the library.

On September 22, 1958 the library moved to 7515 Eastern Ave. (a store front location).

The library moved to its current location, 7110 S. Garfield Avenue, on May 7th, 1970. On July 21, 2007 the library had a Grand Re-Opening ceremony to celebrate a 6-month major refurbishment project.
