Step back in time and discover how technology used to work! In this hands-on library program, kids will explore vintage gadgets like rotary phones, adding machines, and Walkmans.

Kids will get the chance to see, touch, and even try out these classic devices while learning how people communicated, created, and listened to music before today’s digital world. It’s a fun and interactive way to understand the evolution of everyday technology!  For ages 5-12 and their families.

About the branch

The library, originally founded in 1929 as the Stephenson Library, moved into its present location in 1972 and was rededicated as El Camino Real Library in 1975. The library was rededicated again in November 2014 after a renovation and expansion that added a meeting room, teen area, and outdoor reading patio. The library is located on the historic El Camino Real.
