Meeting Room

In honor of Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, join us to learn about batik. 

Batik is a type of wax-resist dyeing technique from Indonesia. Wax is applied to the fabric in elaborate patterns. We will learn the history of this technique and then simulate batik using wax crayons and fabric paint. 

For ages 6 - 12 with their parent or caregiver.

City Terrace Library has been at its present location since 1979. In 2009, the library was refurbished with the support of Gloria Molina, Supervisor of the First District, Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors.
