Learn about the amazing life of the sea star and how it survives in the ocean. Experience marine life up-close with The Blue Submarine’s live tidepool animals, including sea stars, urchins, sea slugs, hermit crabs, and more! For ages 3 - 12.

Attendance is limited, and advance registration is required. Please register every individual in your party, including kids. This will be used to save your spots in the program. We cannot guarantee availability for any unregistered attendees.

About the branch

The library was founded in 1913 and moved to its present location in 1962. The facility was remodeled in 1978. The Friends of the Hawthorne Libraries started in 1979. The library serves a 5.99 square mile area.
