This is a 6-session weekly program. Please consider your availability, as this program is designed for weekly participation.

Tuesdays: May 5, 12, 19, & 26 and June 5 & 9, 2026. Learning Outcomes subject to change.

Attendance is extremely limited, and advance registration is required. This will be used to save your spots in the program. We cannot guarantee availability for any unregistered attendees.

There is a 15-minute grace period for lateness. If you do not show up on the first day, you will be removed from the workshop entirely.

About the branch

Friendly El Monte, the End of the Santa Fe Trail, was incorporated in 1912. The city was once home to Gay's Lion Farm during the 1930s and famous for the roaring lion on MGM's logo.

The El Monte Library was founded in 1890, and joined the Los Angeles County Public Library in 1913. It has been at its present location since 1967.
