Claremont Library is looking for teen volunteers to assist with the 2026 Summer Discovery Program. You can earn service hours and help out with one of the library's most popular programs. For ages 14 – 17

Volunteer duties will include signing up children for the program, passing out prizes, and assisting with special programs.


We are looking for volunteers who can help between June 1 - August 9. Potential volunteers must be able to volunteer for at least six weeks and commit to at least one shift a week. 


Please pick up an application at Claremont Helen Renwick Library and return it by June 6. Volunteers must attend one of the mandatory orientations on June 4 (4:30pm), June 12 (11am), or June 19 (2pm).

About the branch

Claremont Library was founded in 1914. It has been at its current location since 1928. The present building opened on April 25, 1975. The Friends of the Claremont Public Library was founded in 1957.
