This powerful memoir traces Sheila Johnson’s journey from a musically gifted young woman to a trailblazing entrepreneur and cofounder of BET.  Explore her rise to success alongside the painful realities behind it, especially her decades-long marriage marked by emotional abuse, infidelity, and personal loss. After her divorce, Johnson struggles with grief, depression, and identity, but ultimately rebuilds her life on her own terms. She goes on to create new business ventures, including a luxury resort, and becomes a prominent philanthropist and sports team owner.
