Learn Basic Tech: Beginners' Curriculum is divided into two parts (Part 1: Wed, May 6, 12 - 4 pm; Part 2: Wed, May 20, 12 - 4 pm). Participants are permitted to attend one or both days. To receive a certificate of completion, participants must attend both days. 

Part 1

Computer Basics: Explore the knowledge of technology with our Computer Basics course, made for beginners and those wanting to refresh their computer skills.
Cybersecurity Basics: Being cautious on the internet is crucial to protecting your personal information, money, and safety from cyberattacks, scams, and online threats.

Part 2 

Smartphone Basics: Discover how to use smartphones and tablets to connect, learn, and have fun. From communication to entertainment, we'll guide you through the essentials of app navigation and usage. Join us on this exciting journey into the digital age!

Internet Basics: The internet basics course will help guide you on your digital skills journey! We will teach you how to understand the technical fundamentals that will allow you to confidently navigate the digital world!
Website Navigation: Learn how to easily navigate the Learn Basic Tech (LBT) website. We'll guide you through finding upcoming in-person classes, online courses, helpful blogs, and valuable resources.

Learn Basic Tech (LBT) is dedicated to bridging the digital divide in Los Angeles County. As part of LA County’s Delete the Divide initiative, LBT provides free resources and courses to help individuals develop essential digital skills.

About the branch

Anthony Quinn Library was originally named Belvedere Library. Belvedere Library was established in January 1914 as a pioneer branch of the newly founded Los Angeles County Public Library.

By 1925, when the library was moved to a store-front facility at 111 North Ditman Ave., the collection had grown to several thousand books.

In 1937 the library was relocated to 3713 Michigan Avenue. The library remained there until 1973, when it was moved to its present location.

On January 5, 1982 the library was renamed in honor of actor Anthony Quinn. His childhood home occupied the site of the present-day library.

In 2000, the library underwent a major renovation funded by the First Supervisorial District. It reopened in February 2001 with a fresh look and new furnishings.
