In honor of Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander Month, join us as we discuss the book Magic Ramen: The Story of Momofuku Ando by Andrea Wang. For ages 8 – 12

Synopsis: Inspiration struck when Momofuku Ando spotted the long lines for a simple bowl of ramen following World War II. Magic Ramen tells the true story behind the creation of one of the world's most popular foods.

About the branch

Live Oak Library was founded in 1917. As the business areas along Live Oak Avenue were incorporated into the city of Arcadia, the library site moved eastward until it came to its current location in 1964 in an unincorporated area of Los Angeles County.
