For ages 2 - 5 with their parent or caregiver. This program is part of Smart Start at the Library, LA County Library's collection of programs and services for early learners ages 0 - 5 and their caregivers.

About the branch

The library was founded in 1913 and housed in the Woodcrest School. It moved to various locations in the community until the present location was opened in 1967.

In South America, it's believed that using rain sticks would bring rain and thunderstorms. Join us to learn more about the rain sticks first used by the Mapuche in ancient Chile. Then, we will make rain sticks using paper towel rolls. For ages 6 - 12
