The National Weather Service has issued an extreme heat warning for parts of LA County from Tuesday, August 24 through Friday, August 28, 2026. LA County Library has activated 23 Cooling Centers. View hours and locations.
Coloring is more than just coloring and having fun. Coloring helps build our fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and pattern recognition.
We will learn about the color wheel and how blending colors creates a new color. Soft, relaxing music will be playing in the background for further enjoyment. For ages 5 - 12 with a parent or caregiver.
Bell Gardens Library first opened in August, 1938 at 5656 Live Oak St. As the City of Bell Gardens grew and expanded, so did the library.
On September 22, 1958 the library moved to 7515 Eastern Ave. (a store front location).
The library moved to its current location, 7110 S. Garfield Avenue, on May 7th, 1970. On July 21, 2007 the library had a Grand Re-Opening ceremony to celebrate a 6-month major refurbishment project.
